Wendy Black has been in the staging business since 2008 and what started as a favour for a neighbour, has grown into an award- winning staging business. As a stay at home mom, Wendy was asked for help with staging a neighbour’s home for an upcoming open house after it had been on the market for three months. After selecting paint colours and showcasing the home, it sold for full asking price at the open house. Wendy had found her new calling.

She began working with a local staging company, received her Certified Staging Professionals (CSP) designation in 2008 and in 2011 was ready to push forward and took the leap into entrepreneurialism when she founded Wendy Black Interiors, a full- service home staging company. It was not long before word soon spread of Wendy’s success in getting top dollar for her clients.

She was staging homes, cottages, condos and offices, working alongside some of the top realtors and builders in the business and helping individual homeowners to maximize the return on their property investments when selling.

Wendy is always looking for ways to improve the industry and offer assistance to her fellow home stagers. She has served as the President of the KW Real Estate Staging Association (RESA) chapter and is an active member and Goodwill Ambassador for Certified Staging Professionals (CSP).

In 2015 Wendy founded Exit Staged Right Furniture Rentals which offers everything from furniture to artwork, plants, lamps and accessories for anyone wanting to stage homes independently. She also formed a network group named WIN (Women of Influence Network) for women professionals to build connections and grow.

Wendy has used her experience throughout her professional career to share herself as a professional and as a business owner. Her former life before she was a stay at home mom was in the travel industry. She worked for 3 yacht charter companies, received her sailing certification and sailed the British Virgin Islands five times.

She also managed a corporate travel division which lead to group travel and tour escorting. Wendy then became a Sears Travel Manager where she was able to travel the world extensively.

Wendy has truly hit her stride in home staging, combining her creative eye, meticulous attention to detail, and expertise to transform spaces that sell quickly and for top dollar.
